Marriage records [microform], 1933-1939.

Marriage records may include bonds, books, certificates, licenses, marriage registers or ministers' returns. Indexes to marriage records may be available. Marriage books document the legal union of man and woman as husband and wife. They may contain one or more of the following: marriage license, bond, register or minister's return, certificates and consents. Various counties may also have maintained these records as separtate series. Marriage consents by the parent or guardian of the bride or groom were required if either of them was less than twenty-one years old. The consent was usually filed with the bond and a copy of the license.
